Job Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading and executing the marketing strategy for a new product offering, focusing on both B2B and B2C initiatives. This role will drive research and develop B2B pitch materials while overseeing the development and optimization of the company’s website to support consumer sales and retention efforts. The Director will collaborate closely with product teams to ensure marketing strategies align with product roadmaps, customer experience goals, and feature launches. They will lead customer acquisition and retention strategies, leveraging direct marketing approaches such as email, direct mail, and digital channels. The Director will ensure cohesive messaging across all channels to drive growth through D2C and partner channels.
Job Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition (30%)
- Manage consumer-facing marketing strategies and campaigns across channels, including recommendations and enhancements for partner channels.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM and optimizing the e-commerce site, to enhance performance and conversion.
- Leverage data and insights to refine product offers, messaging, positioning, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with product teams on product positioning and go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with product features and launches
Customer Engagement & Retention (20%)
- Develop strategies to maintain and enhance customer relationships, focusing on increasing customer loyalty and lifetime value.
- Manage ongoing engagement and retention programs, leveraging customer insights to improve satisfaction and reduce churn.
- Work with product teams to ensure that customer feedback and product performance data inform retention strategies.
Partner Acquisition (15%)
- Support the acquisition and development of distribution partners through compelling proposals and pitch materials.
- Collaborate with business development teams to secure new partnerships, expanding market reach within customer bases.
Direct Marketing & Analytics (20%)
- Manage and optimize direct marketing efforts across D2C and B2B2C channels, focusing on email, direct mail, SEO/SEM, and paid campaigns.
- Leverage analytics to track campaign performance, refine strategies, and improve overall marketing effectiveness, ensuring alignment with customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Collaborate with product teams to align marketing analytics with product performance metrics, ensuring that marketing efforts support product success.
Research & Value Proposition (15%)
- Conduct research to support design, distribution, and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with product teams on customer research to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Develop marketing messages and positioning that highlight product benefits and unique selling points. Ensure value propositions resonate with customer needs, driving sales and loyalty.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing, with a strong emphasis on customer acquisition, retention, and direct marketing.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with external vendors or agencies.
- Proven track record in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and optimizing marketing strategies based on data insights.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong expertise in direct marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, direct mail, and analytics.
- Ability to develop compelling value propositions and marketing materials.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience:
- Experience in industries related to warranties, insurance, or consumer protection products.
- Experience leading both B2B and B2C marketing efforts with a focus on driving customer acquisition and retention.
- Direct experience planning and managing paid media efforts including paid digital, social and search.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with marketing technologies and tools, including CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.

Pay Range:
$101,500.00 - $169,400.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
