Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Staff return intent hit 85.1% in spring 2026, up from 77.4% in fall.
  • DSST announced a 2.6% staff raise for 2026-27, supporting retention after recent talent pressure.
  • The Mines pathway and 2026 scholarship results strengthen DSST's college-outcomes moat with families.

What critics are saying

  • DSST depends on DPS SchoolChoice and public per-pupil funding, making enrollment declines immediately painful.
  • A Denver enrollment squeeze or authorizer pushback would force campus consolidation and break the network's growth story.

  • Colorado School of Mines gave DSST students a guaranteed admission pathway in March 2026.
