- Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved Radiology Technology program or equivalent and eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R)) certification within one year of hire.
- Licensed by the State of New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging, the State of Massachusetts as a Radiologic Technologist, or both, depending on location.
- Able to multitask, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and operate imaging technology systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate, professional patient care.
- Review patient medical information and reconcile physician requests with ordered exams.
- Complete required documentation, including consents and questionnaires, before beginning each patient exam.
- Perform diagnostic radiology exams, including trauma and orthopedic exams.
- Inspect completed images for quality and proper documentation and present them to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Transport patients to and from Immediate Care.
- Assist the supervisor with teaching and monitoring new personnel.
- Use radiology information systems and picture archiving and communication systems.
- Protect confidential patient information and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act laws and regulations.
- Practice radiation safety by adhering to As Low As Reasonably Achievable guidelines and using patient safety equipment, lead shields, and aprons appropriately.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during all interactions.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and call shifts.
- One to two years of radiology experience.
