Responsibilities
  • Managing a team and resource for a busy calendar of events
  • Providing leadership for direct reports within the project management team
  • Training and onboarding new team members
  • Monitoring team performance and conducting performance reviews
  • Reporting to the Head of Project Management on team resource and capacity
  • Leading team meetings or attending senior leadership meetings
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to other team members
  • Working with the Head of Project Management to establish practices, templates, policies, and tools
  • Managing more complex projects or event series effectively and efficiently
  • Leading on the programme of events that take place during the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland
  • Working closely with the sales team to ensure that events are being pitched to a deliverable standard
  • Carrying out planning, setting goals and objectives, defining roles & responsibilities, and producing schedules and timelines for deliverables
  • Communicating verbal and visual plans for clients to engage with
  • Leading and motivating the project team from both internal and external stakeholder organizations
  • Developing trusted adviser relationships with project stakeholders
  • Carrying out monitoring and control activities to track the progress of the project
  • Meeting budgetary objectives and making adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Managing admin across the projects, dealing with sign off, budgets, and compiling post-event reporting
  • Identifying and monitoring competitor events and alternative ways the marketplace will accumulate information, market knowledge, and commercial relationships
