ZOLL, an Asahi Kasei company manufacturing medical devices, has announced that its Zenix monitor/defibrillator received approval under the European Union Medical Device Regulation 2017/745. The device is designed for use in both emergency medical services and hospital settings. Zenix features a large touchscreen and on-the-fly customisation capabilities, allowing healthcare professionals to make real-time adjustments during critical situations. The device incorporates ZOLL's Real BVM Help and Real CPR Help technology, providing clinical feedback to improve ventilation quality and CPR delivery. According to Elijah White, president of ZOLL Acute Care Technology, virtually all device functions are accessible with three screen-touches or fewer. Zenix joins ZOLL's existing portfolio of professional monitors and defibrillators, including the X Series, R Series and M2 models.
