Overview
The Event Staff position is a part-time, on-campus job with a flexible schedule. Responsibilities include collaborating as a team and working independently to guarantee the smooth operation of events hosted by USUE.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities fluctuate based on the schedule and event. Assistance is required in all facets of event planning, preparation, and execution as needed. This includes:
- Setting up chairs, tables, and buffets
- Handling cashier duties, ticket, and concession sales
- Delivering food and managing clean-up
- Maintaining event and catering equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in following both written and verbal instructions.
- Keen attention to detail with a willingness to assist as needed.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- While experience with audio-visual equipment or familiarity with Geary Theater is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 30 pounds, walking, and standing for extended periods. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment. At times employees may be asked to work outdoor events and in hot or in climate weather.
