MoveIt Pro is an open core product based on MoveIt (Open Source) used by 1000s of companies worldwide.  PickNik’s annual revenue is $6M and we have worked with 120+ customers over the past 9 years including Google, Amazon, Samsung, BMW, Lockheed Martin, NASA, and many startups. As a roboticist at PickNik, you will work on a team applying state of the art robotics research that enables our customers to develop cutting edge applications. You will support customers developing and deploying MoveIt Pro-based robotics applications, in simulation, on hardware prototypes, and in production. Duties will include troubleshooting customer requests, hardening C++ and Python libraries, and testing new functionality that will be used on robots around the world (and in outer space!).

Requirements

• Bachelors in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related robotics-focused field
• Top notch communication skills and time management 
• Some C++ experience and familiarity with at least one scripting language, preferably JavaScript or Python
  Working knowledge  of basic Docker concepts
• Understanding of motion planning, control, perception, navigation, and/or simulation
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for and basic capability in the robotics field
• Be able to travel approximately every other month to customer sites & conferences. Less than 20% of the time.
• Live in the Boulder/Denver area and have the ability to be in-office at least 3 days per week. (If currently not in Denver metro, willing to relocate)

Some preferred skills/experience:

• MoveIt, ROS Navigation, Gazebo, Mujoco, PCL, OpenCV, or other robotic libraries are advantageous
• Common open source libraries and tools such as Eigen and Boost

Colorado Residents Only: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $90,000. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
