Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to specified program areas
  • Five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program's continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
  • Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
  • Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
  • May plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
  • May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
  • Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
  • Maintains complete and accurate program records.
  • May serve on or chair various University committees.
  • May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience (3+ years) in graduate medical education (GME), academic administration, or healthcare program coordination, particularly in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and support large groups of learners, including residents, medical students, and fellows.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, institutional partners, and external accrediting bodies.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing multiple concurrent deadlines, events, and cyclical administrative tasks (e.g., onboarding, recruitment, evaluations, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using GME platforms and tools such as MedHub, New Innovations, ERAS, NRMP, and ACGME’s ADS; comfort with learning new systems.
  • Creative thinker with a “solution-first” approach and a desire to improve processes and experiences for both residents and faculty.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a mission-driven environment with a growth mindset and opportunities for professional development.
  • Excel and database management capabilities
  • Experience with conference planning and continuing medical education events
  • Comfort managing program budgets, submitting expense reports, and assisting with grant proposals or funding research.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior staff, interns, or volunteers; demonstrated leadership potential within a growing team.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse resident population; supports a culture of inclusivity, wellness, and professional growth.
