Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Support and comply with the policies, procedures, and programs of CPC's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System.
  • Ensuring company procedures are in place and maintained to allow all relevant legislation (WorkSafe BC, Alberta OH&S, AER, BCER, etc.) to be complied with.
  • Participate in onsite safety meetings by developing content and delivering the HSE messaging during the meetings.
  • Conduct health and safety related incident investigation and development of correct action plans.
  • Contractor engagement with onsite third-party contractors, attending kick off meetings, liaising with Contractor HSE and Field Leadership representatives.
  • Demonstrate active safety leadership at the work face, build trust with workforce and understand how work is done.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of oil and gas processing facility and field hazards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate daily activities for the area ensuring alignment with area field leaders.
  • Liaise with Environmental and Industrial Hygiene Coordinators to ensure all elements of relevant legislation are complied with.
Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years of health and safety experience in an energy/industrial operation setting.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
