ISS STOXX launches new suite of Real Asset Climate risk solutions for investors. Emanuela Hawker October 24, 2025 ISS Sustainability Solutions, the sustainable investment-focused business of ISS STOXX, announced the launch of Real Asset Climate Solutions, a new suite of tools aimed at enabling investors to assess and mitigate climate-related impacts in their portfolios. According to ISS, the new set of solutions was designed to support institutional investors, banks, insurers, and reinsurers to identify and manage climate risks and develop climate resilient portfolios, utilizing ISS STOXX's toolsets including Physical Risk, Carbon Footprint and Scenario Alignment analyses and geospatial asset-level data. The new solutions include Geospatial Asset Analytics solution - powered by the recently acquired geospatial AI-powered climate risk intelligence company Sust Global - enabling users to evaluate exposure to climate hazards such as floods, wildfires and heatwaves based on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) scenarios, with projections through to the end of the century. It also allows assessment of potential structural damage and business disruption at the asset level. Additional products in the new suite include Carbon Footprinting, analyzing of emissions performance at the real asset and portfolio level, projecting Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and financed emissions, a Scenario Alignment solution to help assess how real asset portfolios are positioned against science-based decarbonization pathways, projecting Scope 1 and 2 emissions and comparing them to granular benchmarks, differentiated by building type and region, enabling investors to evaluate climate risk exposure and alignment with decarbonization strategies and targets. Proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) has been purchased by Genstar Capital. The business, which includes both ISS proxy research (which sells services to institutional investors) and ISS Corporate Solutions (which sells services to issuers related to ESG), was sold by the previous owner, Vestar Capital, for US$720 million.
