The Daily Wire is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Ad Operations to join our Ad Revenue team! The Director of Ad Operations, will help us build out the next phase of our ad tech stack and programmatic strategies that will support aggressive and sophisticated revenue strategies and goals across audio, streaming and digital platforms. This position will also work closely with the Sales, Pre Sales and Client Success to ensure delivery of ad campaigns and understanding of capabilities for Pre Sale pitches.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration
Partner with Sales leadership to think strategically about tools and technology needed to usher us into the next phase of audio, streaming, and digital selling, and work aggressively to implement them. Partner with Sales leadership to drive yield and inventory analysis on an ongoing basis. Partner with Sales Planning on the best ways to execute on inventory strategies. Partner with technology team to identify and launch opportunities, in addition to identifying red flags and gaps. Partner with Client Success team to prepare reports, metrics, and updates tracking the progress of all ad campaigns.
Campaign Management and Execution
Traffic online audio and digital campaigns, including GAM direct sold web campaigns and AdsWizz Dynamic Ad Insertion campaigns. Manage all audio and visual ad inventory, with the ability to see around corners and raise concerns as they come up.
Programmatic and Attribution Strategy
Manage programmatic strategies and day-to-day operations. Make smart recommendations for balancing direct sold ads with programmatic, keeping user experience top of mind. Manage attribution technologies.
Other Duties as Assigned
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Education
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field preferred.
Demonstrated Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- 5-10+ years of experience in digital and audio ad operations role required
- Significant exposure to and understanding of the digital/audio space
- Significant understanding of ad tech space and vendors available to drive key priorities initiatives forward such as
- 1st party data targeting
- Significant understanding of Google Ad Manager and ability to manage MCC preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle many tasks simultaneously
- Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes a plus
