Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university with a current Registered Nurse license from the State Board of Nursing.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, including at least 2 years of nursing supervision experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Have knowledge of the Minimum Data Set process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
  • Be available for on-call work.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
  • Serve as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
  • Be responsible for the quality of clinical operations in the nursing units, including compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate, and control the nursing department budget.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve practice at the top of their licenses.
  • Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and nurse orientation.
