Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
  • Current state licensure as applicable.
  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Availability for night and weekend calls or troubleshooting may be necessary for oversight of a 24/7/365 service.
  • Travel between assigned facilities and various community locations is required; travel to regional, business-unit, and corporate meetings may also be required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, coordinating activities and owning results for costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory, personnel spending, and accounts payable, and identify ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
  • Ensure proper staffing and operations at contracted facilities, including patient scheduling and staffing utilization.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports, partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.
  • Hire, coach, counsel, and evaluate employees, including performance reviews, development, disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Ensure staffing and operations support contracted facilities and maintain a safe environment.
  • Oversee the Acute Care Electronic System (ACES).
  • Resolve and follow up on customer service issues with internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with contracted facility representatives to maintain survey readiness and resolve department issues identified through surveys.
  • Maintain and prepare QAI data and presentations, participate in meetings, and lead collaborative project-team efforts.
  • Interact with internal departments and external customers, including resolving problems and serving as an industry expert.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and participate in surveys conducted by The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and other agencies.
  • Ensure orientation, training, continuing in-services, and training documentation for clinical and technical staff.
  • Conduct and document acute staff meetings regularly.
  • Ensure provision of dialysis and related services, including hemoperfusion, apheresis, continuous renal replacement therapies, peritoneal dialysis, and ultrafiltration when contracted.
  • Ensure treatment information is documented appropriately and oversee timely, accurate billing for services.
  • Perform treatments when appropriately licensed to support high census, staffing shortages, or staffing-cost management.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, machine repairs, infection-control measures, routine culturing, water testing, results logging, equipment and supply transportation, and technical communication with staff.
  • Ensure acute treatments are performed in contracted hospitals according to policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with assigned projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee issues arising in a 24/7/365 service, including possible night and weekend calls.
  • Travel between assigned facilities and other required locations.
