Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience with significant time spent on or around jobsites.
  • Professional background in project engineering, project management, field operations, or construction technology.
  • Deep fluency with the construction technology landscape, including knowledge of major players, platforms, funding rounds, and industry gaps.
  • Artificial Intelligence literacy including the ability to build workflows, automate processes, and demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence tools change work methods.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both field superintendents and corporate executives on technology strategy.
  • Ability to travel 60 to 80 percent of the time to jobsites across the United States.
  • Natural credibility with construction professionals based on a deep understanding of field work.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct structured job shadows of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and superintendents across various project types to map daily work flows and identify friction points.
  • Extract and codify expert knowledge and institutional intelligence from experienced construction professionals to create organizational assets.
  • Synthesize field observations into actionable briefs for the venture studio and product teams to inform building and investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain a living knowledge base of construction workflows, pain points, and technology gaps across the partner project portfolios.
  • Identify systemic patterns across jobsites that indicate high-leverage opportunities for technology intervention or process improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of the construction technology landscape and emerging capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies such as autonomous heavy equipment, reality capture tools, and Artificial Intelligence co-pilots against real jobsite needs.
  • Develop technology fit assessments to determine where specific tools create value versus where they would remain unused.
  • Brief company and client leadership on construction technology trends, investment-worthy companies, and technology bets from a practitioner perspective.
  • Contribute to the venture studio thesis regarding the future direction of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry.
  • Help jobsite teams adopt Artificial Intelligence-assisted workflows for submittals, change orders, Request for Proposal assessment, and meeting synthesis.
  • Run hands-on coaching sessions to translate Artificial Intelligence capabilities into practical construction language for field staff.
  • Identify high-leverage Artificial Intelligence use cases for specific roles and work with the product team to customize solutions.
  • Serve as a credible and trusted voice on Artificial Intelligence and technology for field teams.
  • Surface adoption barriers and workflow mismatches to the product team to ensure continuous tool improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience with construction technology platforms such as Procore, PMWeb, OpenSpace, Bluebeam, or Building Information Modeling tools as a power user, implementer, or builder.
  • Background in construction technology or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction innovation at a startup, a General Contractor operations or innovation team, or a technology consultancy serving the industry.
  • Experience in technology evaluation, venture analysis, or strategic advisory roles where professional judgment on technology viability was the primary deliverable.
  • Familiarity with how Artificial Intelligence products are built, specifically understanding how field insights and user research translate into product decisions.
  • Comfort operating in a consulting structure as a Human Agency team member embedded in a client organization and culture.
