Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead and advise on the full spectrum of employment matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, restructurings, leave of absence and Americans with Disabilities Act matters, and federal, state, and local law compliance.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and regulations and recommend or support updates to company policies and practices.
  • Provide legal oversight for workplace investigations involving sensitive, complex, or executive-level matters and conduct investigations personally as needed.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Human Resources leadership and Centers of Excellence on employee lifecycle and employee relations matters.
  • Manage and support responses to employee escalations, employment demand letters, and pre-litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Litigation Team on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination disputes and support management of outside counsel relationships.
  • Partner to develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics and company policies for all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Drive legal research and writing in support of proactive risk mitigation, policy development, and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve employment law processes, frameworks, and procedures across the organization in collaboration with team colleagues and leadership.
  • Monitor, track, and support enterprise-wide compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal peers, Human Resources, Finance, and business leaders to advance strategic and operational objectives.
  • Communicate and negotiate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and opposing counsel, delivering clear, practical, and actionable legal guidance.

Intuitive leases 316,000-sq-ft facility in Penang to manufacture surgical instruments, create 1,200 jobs by 2032

Intuitive, the global leader in minimally invasive care and pioneer of robotic-assisted surgery, has signed a lease agreement with Penang Development Corporation for a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia. The 316,000-square-foot site in Bandar Cassia Technology Park will produce surgical instruments and electromechanical devices for Intuitive's da Vinci surgical system. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2028 and create 1,200 highly skilled jobs by 2032. The investment reflects Intuitive's commitment to Asia Pacific, where its da Vinci systems have treated more than 2.5 million patients across 13 markets over two decades. The expansion aims to support growing demand for robotic-assisted surgery across the region and strengthen Penang's position as a MedTech manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.
