Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Three to eight years of experience in enterprise resource planning or project management platform implementations, with priority given to depth in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations, including direct involvement in at least one full-cycle implementation or major functional-area rollout.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder functions.
  • A strong understanding of project-based business models, including how projects are sold, resourced, executed, and billed, as well as time and expense, milestone billing, and revenue recognition concepts.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to navigate conflicting priorities among Sales, Finance, and Field Operations stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in an agile delivery model with sprint-based deliverables and iterative design.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service module.
  • An understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations financials sufficient to map Project Operations billing outputs to the general ledger.
  • Exposure to multi-entity deployments and systems integrator governance in a client-side business systems analyst capacity.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • The ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday.
  • The ability to lift 15 to 20 pounds.
  • The ability to travel by plane or car to events.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in agile sprint cycles during the build phase, contributing to the design and configuration of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations core template.
  • Evaluate design decisions for scalability and repeatability across more than 20 entities, maintaining an approximately 80% standardized template with documented entity-specific deviation patterns.
  • Maintain a Design Decision Log documenting configuration rationale, fit-gap outcomes, and process decisions.
  • Support entity wave planning through pre-deployment discovery sprints and operating-company readiness assessments, and distinguish legitimate process variation from undisciplined customization.
  • Engage Sales teams on opportunity management, contracts and project setup, billing milestones, and the handoff from customer relationship management and sales processes into project initiation.
  • Engage Project Managers on project planning, resource assignments, task structures, time and expense workflows, milestone tracking, and project health reporting.
  • Engage Field Service teams on work-order management, scheduling, mobile time capture, and integrating field activity into project cost and billing.
  • Engage Accounting and Finance on project billing, revenue recognition, work-in-progress management, intercompany transactions, and reconciliation between Project Operations and Finance & Operations financials.
  • Lead or support requirements workshops with Sales, Project Management, Field Service, and Finance stakeholders, facilitate fit-gap analysis sessions, and translate competing needs into standardized configuration.
  • Perform fit-gap analysis between stakeholder business processes and standard Dynamics 365 Project Operations capabilities, recommending configuration-first solutions before development.
  • Translate business requirements into functional design specifications and user stories for Solution Architects and the systems integrator team.
  • Map end-to-end project lifecycle processes from opportunity through final billing, identify handoff gaps, and document integration touchpoints among Project Operations, Finance & Operations financials, Field Service, and external Sales or customer relationship management platforms.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Integration Engineers, Data Migration Analysts, and quality assurance teams to ensure end-to-end configuration quality.
  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing scenarios spanning the full project workflow and cross-functional Sales, Project Management, and Finance scenarios.
  • Support data migration planning for active projects, resource records, billing schedules, and historical work-in-progress, ensuring accurate mapping to Dynamics 365 data models.
  • Participate in cutover planning and hypercare support at go-live, including on-site or on-call availability during critical deployment windows.
  • Triage and resolve post-go-live issues, distinguishing configuration defects from training gaps and scope items.
  • Develop user guides, process flows, and training materials tailored to Sales, Project Management, Field Service, and Finance audiences.
  • Contribute to the Project Operations deployment playbook by documenting repeatable discovery patterns, common fit-gap findings, and configuration standards.
  • Support onboarding of future business systems analyst team members by sharing lessons learned, wave retrospectives, and entity-specific deviation libraries.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer from the systems integrator to build internal capability across deployment cycles.
  • Assist the leadership team and other team members with research and special projects.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Conduct work ethically, legally, and responsibly and adhere to the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or master's degree.
  • Microsoft MB-280, MB-240, or Project Operations certification.
  • Occasional travel availability.
