Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products
  • Ability to translate ambiguous user needs to concrete requirements and turn them into comprehensive design specs
  • Proven product design experience with concrete examples of iterative approaches to complex problems
  • A strong sense for visual design for user interfaces (e.g. layouts, components)
  • Experience creating scalable and responsive patterns
  • Mastery of contemporary design and prototyping tools and best practices
  • Experience in contributing to design systems or experience in brand/marketing design
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead design projects from kick-off to release
  • Own key workflows in our web app
  • Have ongoing conversations with users to identify areas for improvement
  • Iterate quickly with product and engineering on designs for new features
  • Participate in design critiques by presenting your work and providing feedback on others
  • Create pixel-perfect mockups and collaborate with engineers to implement new designs
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system components and patterns
  • Champion and evolve the design culture and processes at Graphite
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing for SaaS, enterprise, developer tools, or productivity tools
  • Self-sufficient and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience with zero-to-one projects
  • Interest in or experience working on developer tools and workflows
  • A good understanding of web front-end (HTML/CSS, React)
  • User experience research experience (eg. user interviews, user testing)
  • Branding, art direction, graphic design, marketing design, or motion design experience
