THE JOB

The Security team plays a key role in venue safety and guest servicesduring our concert and commencement season. Security screens guests, monitors venue access, and ensures a fun and safe concert environment for all by upholding venue policies. Security will operate metal detector equipment and other equipment as needed. Event shifts are typically in the evening, although some events will take place during the day. Evening availability is required. 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Represent Live Nation to all venue visitors, including our business partners and artists, in a professional way

• Adapt to the security needs of our diverse artists, changing schedules, and tours of varying sizes

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain securityand safetyofthepremises.

• As needed, write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

• Responsible for maintaining a fun, friendly, and safe environment throughout the venue; uphold venue policies and escalate concerns to appropriate members of the management team in a timely manner

• Operate walkthrough metal detecting devices and hand wands to screen individuals and check bags, preventingpassage of prohibited articles into the venue. 

• Greet guests, answer guest questions, assist guests with navigating the venue

• Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly implement various training methods and standard operating procedures.

• Warn persons of code of conduct infractions or violations andapprehend or evict violators from premises in a professional and courteous manner.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• Be at least 18 years or older

• Must have valid NYS Security License

• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.  

• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.  

• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and working on your feet.  Some, but not all, positions must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques. 

• Require nights, weekends, and holiday shifts in all types of weather.  

• All applicants must be able to commit to at least 70 percent of shows.

• Tolerance of loud noises.

• High school diplomaor equivalent experience required

• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures. 

• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance;ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong team player with ability to collaborate and establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners

• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
