- Must have five or more years of experience in database design, development, and software development.
- Must be able to comprehend requirements and work with the team to produce a Logical Data Model.
- Must have experience with architecting, designing (modeling) and developing backend databases in end-to-end enterprise applications.
- Must have experience with ER/Win or similar data modeling tools.
- Must have experience implementing Data Governance.
- Must be able to work with a Database Administrator to transform a Logical Data Model into a Physical model.
- Must have experience designing and deploying database reporting and monitoring tools.
- Must have strong knowledge of performance optimization and tuning for database applications.
- Must have experience in data security, capacity planning, and failover procedures.
- Must have experience implementing data warehousing and business analytics.
- Experience with Healthcare, Healthcare Insurance, and Pension plans within public retirement systems is preferred.
- Experience with HIPAA standards (4120/5010), HIPAA-related EDI (834), health care eligibility, and online enrollment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, general ledger concepts, cash receipts and reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, billing, and revenue/expense recording is preferred.
- Experience in data analysis related to Healthcare, Healthcare Insurance, Retirement and Benefit Estimation, Finance and Payments in Public Retirement systems is preferred.
- Experience working in Public Retirement systems and knowledge of pension plan reporting requirements is preferred.
