Pre-Construction Manager

We have a new opportunity for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our team within Vistry Works, at our various locations in the East Midlands and Warrington. As our Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Pre-Construction phase for new and upcoming schemes. Liaising with the regional business units ensuring that we review and resolve technical issues that arise before it’s handed over to our own internal design teams.

• Proven experience in a similar role elsewhere, either in Modern Methods of Construction or Offsite Manufacturing/Construction
• Previous experience of being a designer in either in Modern Methods of Construction or Offsite Manufacturing/Construction advantageous but not essential
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD essential
• Revit experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Teams
• You will have an understanding of materials/components used in the construction of low-rise buildings
• You will have an understanding of building regulations and NHBC requirements
• You will need to be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your workload based on regional priorities
• You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

More about the Pre-Construction Manager role…

• To be responsible for managing the pre-construction phase of new projects from a technical aspect.
• Liaise with the technical teams of the Business units to review new projects, house type designs and site restraints to ensure it works for timber frame and manufacture processes.
• To assist our estimating team with new enquires so we can ensure we capture all the requirements for the quote.
• Instruct and manage engineering packages with our structural engineers to provide foundation loadings and superstructure engineering designs.
• Review working drawing packages and ensure that information is complete and of a sufficient level required to handover to our internal design team.
• Attend design meetings and pre-order meetings as required.
• Setup and chair internal project handover meetings with the Design team.
• Any other tasks as directed by your line manager.
