- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain BCLS certification within 120 days of hire (and keep it current for continued employment)
- Clearance through the Family Care Registry
- Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management, or Educators in the established timeline
- Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel regulations—or meet specific background criteria as listed below: Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training requirements can be waived if the employee demonstrates competency in required content areas.
- Enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program and completed a fundamentals of nursing course; Was a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure exam in the past 3 years; Certified as a nursing assistant per state regulation; Certified or trained in UAP curriculum; Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician in the past 3 years; Completed UAP training in Missouri within the last 3 years; Completed a professional or practical nursing program outside the U.S. and awaiting licensure in this country; UAPs from staffing agencies must comply with training requirements
- Helping patients with daily activities and providing direct care under the supervision of our awesome nursing team
- Keeping the environment supportive, safe, and positive for everyone
- Taking on a variety of duties (from clerical tasks to helping in a clinical setting) – no two days are the same
- Using your skills and compassion to help patients feel at ease and supported
- Experience in patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ambulation, feeding, etc.)
- Previous mental health experience
- BCLS certification
