The Mail Metro team provides one single point of contact across print, digital and more, allowing agencies and advertisers easy access to the millions of consumers who engage with us daily. Each department is equipped to support seamless cross-platform delivery across all brands.
Main Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key advertising agencies and clients working in conjunction with the print, digital & partnership agency partners
- Support the “Group M" agency hub to develop key agencies to achieve budgeted revenue targets, also delivering against individual revenue targets
- Champion MailOnline, Metro.co.uk and inews.co.uk amongst all external contacts and increase Mail Metro Media reputation within the marketplace
- Champion print products as to why it is essential for brands to include our print portfolio on their media plan
- Develop strong creative pitches, work proactively to find short-term revenue opportunities and think strategically about long-term partnership opportunities
Building strong business relationships
- Develop the Publicon agency patch in collaboration with the hybrid, digital & partnership partners focusing on mid and junior levels within agencies
- Strategic understanding of client’s objectives
- Demonstrate and build a good understanding of the agency structure & how the different teams work – VOD, social, planning
- Have the ability to network with clients on a social level and attend client events
Selling & Negotiating
- Understand, present & sell the full MailMetroMedia platform across print, digital & partnerships
- Have a passion for the MailMetroMedia brands and be a valuable ambassador at all time
- Build and manage an active sales pipeline to ensure that personal and team revenue targets will be met
- Fully understand and monitor YoY revenues from agency portfolio
- Present ideas face-to-face with conviction and passion
Develop and manage internal relationships
- Work closely with operations to ensure the effectiveness and full delivery of campaigns
- Liaise with project management to guarantee seamless delivery of integrated solutions
- Maintain communication with Hybrid (Print/Digital) sales teams to share insight and revenue opportunities
- Offer support across the Publicon team through reporting and insight work
- Work with the programmatic team to identify digital opportunities
Strategic, creative & analytical thinking
- Analytical approach to pitch responses and creating PCAs
- Proactive in pitching unique creative concepts to help address client strategic needs
- Collaborate with insights department to deliver strategic opportunities centred around key verticals and cultural moments, to be shared across the sales team. Identify proactive opportunities from the latest news
- Analytical view of campaign delivery to offer campaign optimisations
Person Specification
- 2+ years consumer digital/mobile experience
- A passion for sales and motivated by targets
- Strong analytical skills
- Creative outlook
- Marketplace knowledge across all digital models (direct, programmatic, performance etc) & knowledge of print products
- A social outlook with a desire to building relationships within the agency landscape,
- Professional, diligent and proactive
- Knowledge of industry tools (GAM, TGI, IPSOS IRIS)
