Requirements
  • 5+ years of in-house payroll processing and administration experience within a high volume, multi-state, corporate environment required
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred
  • Strong experience in payroll processing and systems application specifically in Payroll Operations and employee data maintenance
  • Experience with Workday, OSV experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with payroll tax registrations for a multi-state company
  • General understanding of required compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements governing functional tasks and activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Process and audit biweekly payroll for 500+ employees using Workday and OSV.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage payroll-related activities during M&A events, including employee transitions and system integrations.
  • Open and close state and local tax accounts as needed.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within Workday.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions.
  • Understand deadlines for final checks per state laws
  • Preparing Workday payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines regarding payroll maintenance and registrations
