Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree, or alternatively a high school diploma with some college and the specified sales experience.
  • Preferably at least three years of business-to-business sales management experience and at least three years of outside business-to-business sales experience selling technical or mechanical products in the commercial sector; alternatively, at least five years of outside business-to-business sales experience and three years of business-to-business sales management experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge, understand mechanical systems, and solve problems.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and prior estimating experience generating proposals and submittals.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Successful completion of employment verifications, a background check, drug screening, and driving-record review when applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Meet personal and team sales objectives and goals.
  • Learn the company's products and services and use that knowledge to acquire new accounts and introduce existing customers to additional products and services.
  • Call on commercial and industrial business owners and managers, colleges, K-12 schools, municipalities, hospitals, and general contractors to develop new business.
  • Accompany sales representatives to help them reach their potential when engineering door solutions for customers.
  • Develop scopes of work for proposals and personally manage the process from the initial customer call through closing the sale.
  • Use Windows-based programs and sales tools, and ensure that each sales representative handles the proposal process as expected to minimize errors.
  • Meet or exceed sales and gross-profit performance standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate estimates and proposals.
  • Maintain and update the customer relationship management system daily.
  • Teach, develop, lead, and support the outside sales team of commercial sales representatives.

It sells, installs, and maintains doors and related systems through divisions such as DH Pace Door Services, Systems Integration, Construction Services, and the DH Pace Facilities Group, with 24/7 emergency and preventive maintenance. The company partners with Overhead Door Corporation as an authorized distributor since 1926 and also offers services under its own DH Pace brands. Its goal is to improve safety, security, convenience, and aesthetics of buildings to benefit the people who use them, while serving customers, employees, shareholders, and communities.
