  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management are required.
  • The employee must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, with the driver's license verified through a motor vehicle record check at hire.
  • The employee must have reliable transportation for timely travel to multiple offices per day; reliable alternate transportation is acceptable in lieu of a driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • The employee must understand dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements.
  • The employee must be proficient with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment.
  • The employee must be able to make timely and accurate decisions using sometimes vague or limited information, prioritize tasks with limited direction, and work effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • The employee must be able to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents and respond to inquiries from patients, team members, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • The employee must be able to apply policies and procedures, use mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • The employee must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, write performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team-member relations issues.
  • The employee must demonstrate organizational ability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, self-motivation, proactive behavior, and patient focus.
  • The employee must be able to create presentations and deliver presentation information effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the Operations Manager Development Program through structured curriculum, on-the-job application, and development meetings.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and operational practices while learning to promote the organization's culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, coach, and retain right-fit team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and circumstances and developing timely, effective solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Follow cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Develop the team to deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors, report accomplishments and improvement areas weekly, and establish clear performance goals.
  • Use People-related functions including assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, separation processes, and compensation guidance and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • By the end of the development program, manage Front Office and Back Office team members and demonstrate leadership and team-development capabilities.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan covering staff development and office protocols for efficient operations during manager absences.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor that improve team-member development outcomes.
  • Perform field visits and drive between offices as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates is preferred.
