EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to manage large service provider network
- Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment, and devices
- Documents network diagrams for future referenc
- Requires monitoring and troubleshooting of platform and OS based problems, network infrastructure and connectivity issues
Basic Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XR, Forti OS, API scripting, Wireshark
- Knowledgeable in configuration management tools such as Ansible and proven experience with PERL or Python to support developing scripts
- Good knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required
- Good customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required
- Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies
- Must have the ability to effectively multi-task
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI/APIC, VMWare products is a plus
Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $49,000.00 - $70,000.00
