Requirements
  • The candidate must have 12 or more years of experience in insurance pricing.
  • FCAS certification is required as a preferred qualification.
  • The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or another related field.
  • The candidate must have deep subject matter expertise in actuarial pricing and reserving concepts.
  • The candidate must be able to convey clear information to managers and team members and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • The candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
  • The candidate must be able to solve ambiguous problems in a structured, data-driven way.
  • The candidate must be able to think strategically and operationally over the long term while balancing short-term deliveries with long-term business outcomes.
  • The candidate must be able to influence partners and build strong relationships.
  • The candidate must be able to develop, assess, and monitor numerous business metrics and use the acquired knowledge to optimize pricing proposals.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the business to develop standardized monitoring dashboards, assess business performance and market trends, and recommend the next best pricing actions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting the creation and maintenance of appropriate pricing risk governance controls.
  • Peer-review complex pricing initiatives, including new pricing rating structures, capping structures, and new risk-signal proposals.
  • Translate sophisticated technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and design user interface and user experience frameworks for internal tools that make pricing mechanics clear and actionable.
  • Provide actuarial expertise for the rating-plan implementation process and automation and standardization initiatives.
  • Work across insurance, data science, engineering, and security disciplines to shape suitable data-driven solutions.
  • Act as an ambassador for the actuarial team, fostering a solutions-driven approach and meeting stakeholder needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Pricing experience in cyber insurance.
  • Pricing experience in large accounts.
  • Pricing experience in Directors and Officers insurance or other relevant commercial pricing lines.
  • Experience working with external regulators.
  • Ability to build user interface and user experience designs.
