Role Description
The Construction Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing and organizing all construction-related documentation to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with project requirements. This role involves maintaining a systematic filing system, tracking document revisions, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient processing of documents throughout the construction lifecycle.
This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. Relocation assistance is available.
What you’ll do:
Document Management: Develop and maintain an organized system for managing construction documents, including contracts, drawings, change orders, permits, and correspondence. Ensure all documents are properly filed, indexed, and easily retrievable.
Document Control: Review, track, and process document revisions, submissions, and approvals. Ensure that all documentation complies with project specifications and industry standards.
Coordination and Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for document-related inquiries. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate the exchange and review of documentation.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of document management processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements and regulatory standards. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
Reporting and Documentation: Generate reports on document status, revisions, and compliance. Maintain accurate records of document distribution and version history.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in document control or a similar administrative role within the construction industry. Preferably, 4 plus years of on the job experience.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in document management software, ProCore, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of construction terminology, practices, and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
