Requirements
  • Familiarity with the general management of subsidized housing programs.
  • Ability to relate well to owners, employees, residents, visitors, and vendors while exercising good judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience in related housing, social services, or a related field.
  • Experience with RAD, Section 8, project-based vouchers, and Tax Credit Allocation Committee units.
  • Tax Credit Specialist, Certified Occupancy Specialist, HUD, or equivalent designations are required.
Responsibilities
  • Review completed rental applications and leases for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to the Resident Selection Policy.
  • Process, complete, and maintain accurate resident files at move-in within established regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain relationships with residents and adhere to Fair Housing, Equal Employment, and Equal Housing Opportunity requirements.
  • Assist residents with completing and signing paperwork for interim and annual recertifications according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure residents comply with their leases, rules, and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Chinese is a plus.
  • Certification as a Certified Occupancy Specialist is recommended.
