Requirements
  • Relevant Information Technology or Management Information Systems education at bachelor's degree level or equivalent, or a qualified associate degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of desktop or infrastructure support experience, preferably in an end-user environment.
  • Excellent English-language communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industry-standard personal computer technologies and the trading user desktop environment.
  • Experience with call-logging systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products including the Microsoft 365 suite, Exchange, and Active Directory.
  • Awareness of market data feed services such as Reuters, Bloomberg ICE, and MarketView.
  • Knowledge of development and scripting tools such as Excel, Visual Basic for Applications, Java, PowerShell, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of support and troubleshooting processes.
  • Ability to deal with business and IT management at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize in a demanding environment with multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to work reliably with minimum supervision.
  • Affinity with technology and business processes.
Responsibilities
  • Provide effective IT floor support to resolve immediate operational issues and minimize business impact.
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, personal computers, networks, Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, trading-specific packages, external information services, online trading platforms, and bespoke trading applications.
  • Provide first-level support for personal computer hardware, networking systems, the Windows environment, standard Microsoft Office packages, trading-specific analytics packages, external information services, online trading systems and services, and in-house systems essential to the trading network.
  • Maintain operational effectiveness within the trading environment.
  • Liaise with the Global Helpdesk, Trading Delivery Vertical Teams, other IT teams, and external vendors on issues that cannot be addressed within the Trader Support team.
  • Maintain working relationships with trading business users, the IT Service Desk, partners, vendors, and IT management.
  • Collaborate within Shell IT, including Service Assurance, Enterprise Services, and Application Operations, to coordinate effective resolutions to operational issues.
  • Follow all required security, compliance, and equipment-demand processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate local deployment of software and hardware rollouts as required.
  • Provide support during regional annual Business Continuity tests.
  • Balance user requests with adherence to IT policies and processes.
  • Apply technical expertise to continuously improve processes and tools within the team and in support of the business.

  • ITIL certification is a plus.

ECI Group Gets $350M from Almanac

ECI Group has received a $350 million equity infusion from Almanac Realty Investors to support its expansion in the multifamily sector. Alongside a new debt platform with Smith Hill Capital and InterVest, these initiatives are expected to generate over $3 billion in investment and financing growth in the next 3-5 years. ECI plans to acquire and develop multifamily communities in the Southeast and Texas, leveraging both direct investments and joint venture partnerships.
