The opportunity

We’re looking for a driven Senior Product Manager to lead our Discovery squad - one of Pet Circle’s four core missions. This squad is responsible for delivering a seamless, personalised product discovery and search experience across our app and web platforms.

With a catalogue of 15,000+ SKUs and hundreds of thousands of active customers, this role plays a critical part in helping customers uncover products they didn’t know they needed, discover complementary items, and ultimately make Pet Circle their go-to destination for pet care.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll have the chance to shape how AI and data transform the way pet parents shop, with outcomes felt across both customer experience and business growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for discovery and personalisation across app and web, aligned to company and mission goals.
  
• Deliver measurable outcomes tied to lifetime value, average order value, categories per order, purchase frequency, and revenue from recommendations.
  
• Run structured hypothesis-driven experimentation and A/B testing to validate ideas and prioritise initiatives.
  
• Leverage AI and personalisation tools (both in-house and external) to provide highly contextual recommendations and scalable discovery experiences.
  
• Lead a cross-functional squad to deliver high-quality features on time and to scope.
  
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across CX, Operations, Marketing and beyond to align and build buy-in.
  
• Present progress and strategy to senior leadership, influencing company direction in discovery and personalisation.
  

The ideal toolbox

• 5+ years of product management experience in consumer-facing, high-traffic B2C environments.
  
• Proven track record delivering financial outcomes through product (LTV, AOV, purchase frequency, cross-sell).
  
• Strong hands-on experience with analytics and product insight tools (Looker preferred, plus tools such as FullStory, GA, HotJar).
  
• Expertise in A/B testing, experimentation frameworks and hypothesis-driven development.
  
• Experience with the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) and agile practices.
  
• Ability to lead cross-functional squads and collaborate effectively across teams.
  
• Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to influence senior leadership.
  
• Highly data-driven, outcome-oriented, and curious — driven to deeply understand customer behaviour and pain points.
  

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-driven products and recommendation systems.
• Background in e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
• Ability to manage and optimise discovery withinlarge catalogues (10k+ SKUs) and high-volume environments.
• Experience with customer retention, personalisation or LTV strategies.

Role location

We believe that building connections and collaborating as Pet Circlers is super important. So this role is based in Sydney with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days per week in our pet friendly offices (your pet might love coming to the office even more than you). This is subject to change in line with business requirements.
