Requirements
  • 10+ years of end-to-end sales compensation administration and commissions system operations spanning payroll submissions, SOX control operations, exception modelling and recalculations, and stakeholder deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency with Xactly administration, configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting, as well as Excel and Google Workspace for complex modelling, analysis, and insight generation.
  • Strong data validation skills across source-of-truth systems such as SFDC, HRIS, and Anaplan, including detecting anomalies, performing complex commission modelling, and translating findings into clear recommendations.
  • Program management experience across payroll and compliance or exception workflows, including setting and running cadences, producing audit evidence packs, defining escalation paths, and maintaining continuous audit readiness.
  • Understanding of SaaS go-to-market compensation models, including quotas, OTI, accelerators, overlays, SPIFFs, and MBOs, and how plan mechanics influence seller behaviour.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, and Finance without direct authority.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity, scope complex problems, balance speed with rigour, and deliver consistent, control-minded execution with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to prompt and evaluate large language models as part of daily work and apply practical judgment about where artificial intelligence creates leverage versus where human judgment remains essential.
  • Experience deploying artificial intelligence or automation solutions through vendor tooling, custom workflows, or agentic systems to improve speed, accuracy, or coverage.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent 3–4 hour overlap with U.S. Pacific Time during the workday.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end sales compensation administration for a large payee portfolio, including participant setup, plan distribution, calculation, payment readiness, and payroll submission.
  • Lead payroll submission for one or more geographic regions with accuracy, timeliness, SOX compliance, zero-pay confirmations, audit checkpoints, and complete control evidence.
  • Detect anomalies, apply conservative holds to prevent overpayment, and operationalize Exception Committee items with traceable implementation and reduced exception cycle time.
  • Use AI-powered anomaly detection and predictive payment risk scoring to identify issues before they reach payroll.
  • Validate data across Xactly, SFDC, HRIS, Anaplan, and other source-of-truth systems; investigate incorrect credits, quota misalignments, and payout exceptions; and deliver recommendations to leadership.
  • Deploy agentic validation workflows and large-language-model solutions to reduce manual reconciliation and improve decision quality.
  • Lead large or moderately ambiguous projects independently, balance multiple priorities, define ownership across contributors, and create repeatable inspection mechanisms such as dashboards, check-ins, and trackers.
  • Influence business partners across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, and Finance by framing decisions around field experience, risk, and audit compliance.
  • Act as the trusted first point of contact in escalation paths.
  • Own and advance the team’s automation roadmap, driving adoption of artificial intelligence across commission-operations workflows.
  • Identify where artificial intelligence creates leverage and build repeatable operating rhythms, standardized standard operating procedures, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Enable the team through templates, playbooks, evidence packs, and exception trackers, and mentor analysts, including offshore resources.

Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
