Externship Overview

The MarketAxess Future Leaders in Action (FLIA) Externship is a one-day virtual event taking place on March 6^th, 2024. Our Externship Day will provide insight into what it’s like to work at a fast-paced global fintech (financial technology) firm from MarketAxess employees firsthand. We will also be sharing more information about the campus programs we offer based out of our New York City office.

Throughout the day, you will be introduced to, and learn about, the fintech industry. You will gain exposure to leaders in this space, build networking skills and connections, and learn more about how to succeed in an environment such as ours.

The day will consist of:

A welcome to MarketAxess by our Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
An overview of a few of our departments such as Finance, Technology, Product and Sales, by team members from each division
A roundtable discussion (involving a Q&A) with former interns and analysts

What We’re Looking for

Enrollment in an undergraduate or master’s program, graduating between December 2024 and May 2026
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
If at the undergraduate level, currently studying bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:

Business
Finance
Economics
Computer science

Strong academic background with leadership qualities
Interest in the Fintech space
Passion for student leadership

Note that this externship day will be unpaid.
