Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in Operations, Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex operational processes, regulatory deliverables, or control-focused initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex workflows, identify risk, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior business, operations, technology, tax, legal, and compliance partners.
  • Strong judgment and ownership, with the ability to make risk-aware decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across time-sensitive regulatory cycles and longer-term strategic initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, control integrity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience reviewing work products, guiding junior team members, or providing process leadership.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Lead complex Tax Information Reporting processes across United States and Canadian reporting obligations, including Forms 1099, 1042-S, 945, T5, and T5008, as well as NRA, FATCA, Backup Withholding, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and 871(m) withholding reporting where applicable.
  • Own escalation review and resolution for complex client, business, tax authority, and regulator inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and risk-aware outcomes.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to analysts and associates, including review of analysis, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive regulatory filing readiness through oversight of data quality, reconciliations, exception management, and control execution.
  • Partner with Technology, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions for recurring reporting and withholding processes.
  • Identify process, control, and data risks, escalate appropriately, and lead remediation efforts through sustainable process improvements.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives that reduce manual work, improve transparency, and strengthen operational resilience.
  • Support management reporting, issue tracking, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of evolving tax reporting requirements and translate regulatory or business changes into operational impacts.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in accounting, auditing, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, or tax operations, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of NRA, FATCA, Backup Withholding, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and 871(m) withholding and reporting rules.
  • Prior exposure to IRS Forms 945, 1042, 1099, and 1042-S.
  • Prior exposure to Canadian Forms T5 and T5008.
  • Experience leading regulatory reporting cycles, control reviews, issue remediation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with Technology or Data teams to enhance operational workflows, reporting logic, or exception management.
  • SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analysis and workflow automation skills.
  • Experience with operational risk, control frameworks, issue management, or regulatory remediation.
  • Ability to coach junior team members and promote a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

ByteDance's $20B loan attracts $30B in orders to fund AI expansion

ByteDance has attracted over $30 billion in orders for a $20 billion offshore syndicated loan, representing 1.5 times oversubscription. The three-year facility, extendable to five years, marks the TikTok parent company's largest syndicated loan to date. This continues ByteDance's pattern of scaling up its borrowing. The company debuted in the syndicated loan market in 2019 with $1.335 billion and closed a $10.8 billion facility in 2024. Flexential secures $800M to develop 130+ MW of data centre capacity across four US markets

Flexential has secured an $800 million credit facility to fund data centre development across four US markets. The financing will support more than 130 MW of new capacity, including facilities under construction in Atlanta-Douglasville (36 MW), Portland-Hillsboro (36 MW), and Denver-Parker (22.5 MW). The facility was oversubscribed and increased 60% from an initial $500 million target. It is backed by an 11-bank syndicate, with TD Securities as administrative agent. The funding complements equity investment from Flexential's sponsors, GI Partners and MSIP. CEO Ryan Mallory said the financing enables the company to invest ahead of enterprise and AI-driven infrastructure demand. Flexential operates 40 data centres across 18 markets in the US.
