Requirements

  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to make simple calculations and perform simple math.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients in ambulatory clinics.
  • Perform general clerical and reception duties.
  • Enter patient data into the registration system.
  • Verify insurance and third-party coverage.
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and government programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with TDS, Signature, and IDX.
  • Demonstrated experience working in registration, scheduling, and authorization processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a hospital or medical office setting.
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese.
