Requirements
  • Depth with LangGraph for graph orchestration, state management, and recovery; Strands Agents for structured tool reasoning; and experience integrating Model Context Protocol clients and servers.
  • Seven to twelve or more years of experience shipping high-reliability backend or machine learning systems using Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure, containers, Amazon Elastic Container Service or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, continuous integration and continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, and secure integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with retrieval-augmented generation, document stores or vector databases, and schema versioning for code texts and comments.
  • Ability to design realistic, auditable evaluation testbeds and convert real user flows into acceptance tests.
  • Experience with policy-driven guardrails, grounding checks, topic or word filters, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Curiosity about building codes, plan sets, and reviewer workflows, with comfort working with messy PDFs, computer-aided design plans, and plan-review user experiences.
Responsibilities
  • Design and ship production agents by owning one or more high-impact agent workflows, composing multi-step LangGraph workflows with Strands-based reasoning and tooling, and developing internal or external tools for heterogeneous datasets.
  • Operationalize agents on Bedrock AgentCore using Runtime for secure scalable hosting and streaming, Gateway for agent-ready APIs, Memory for persistent context, Identity for least-privilege access, Observability for traces and metrics, and built-in Browser or Code-Interpreter tools where appropriate.
  • Establish task-level and end-to-end evaluation suites covering success rate, cost, latency, human-handoff rate, and regressions, using domain-grounded permitting tests informed by AgentBench, WebArena, or SWE-bench where useful.
  • Connect agents to building-code knowledge through retrieval-augmented generation, evaluate vector-store options such as S3 Vectors and Pinecone, and establish durable knowledge interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to create agent-first reviewer experiences in LiteTable with inline citations, diffs, and remediation suggestions.
  • Build fault-tolerant flows with retries, rollbacks, and compensation, and create observability dashboards and on-call runbooks for agent incidents.
  • Create internal libraries and templates for agent patterns, mentor engineers, and review designs with architects and code officials.
  • Work with data to improve data for agentic workflows and help define the long-term data strategy.
  • Participate in developing agent workflows intended to accelerate reviews, maintain on-call reliability, control cost and latency, and create reusable template repositories.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Bedrock AgentCore Runtime, including session isolation, long-running sessions, large payloads, Memory, Gateway, Identity, Observability, and built-in Browser or Code-Interpreter tools.
  • Experience with CrewAI, AutoGen, or LlamaIndex.
  • Experience with Apryse or similar PDF tooling.
  • Experience with geospatial data.
  • Prior work in architecture, engineering, and construction or regulatory technology.
