Requirements
- 5 to 15 years of experience in transportation engineering
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil, or electrical engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer’s (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6-months of employment
- Proven track record of business development
- Proficiency in FDOT, MUTCD, and AASHTO design standards
- Experience with preparing and reviewing signing, striping, traffic signal and lighting plans
- Familiarity with safety countermeasure selection and design
- Familiarity with mobility issues in transportation engineering
- Strong communication skills
- Interest and experience with mentoring and training staff
Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts and nurture client relationships
- Lead and manage engineering and planning studies
- Perform field work for site review and construction support
- Prepare conceptual designs and PS&E for transportation projects
- Manage client interactions and community engagement
- Engage in mentoring and knowledge sharing with staff
