Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field
  • 3 years of experience in information technology
  • Fundamental knowledge of desktop hardware/software, printing and general networking/telephony environments
Responsibilities
  • Supervises IT field support staff, processes, and tools that support the desktops and other end-user devices for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
  • Supervises teams responsible for the end-user desktop support of the OSUWMC's system and application environments to ensure levels of stability, reliability and acceptable performance
  • Coaches and guides staff in the planning, design, development, and support for desktop services for OSUWMC
  • Coordinates initiatives with multiple IT areas regarding the integration of support for desktops with overall business/healthcare solutions
  • Supervises day to day operations of the desktop services area
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for desktop services strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies
  • Provides direction and insight to management, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of activities for the desktop services area
