Requirements
  • Understand electronic theory and electrical circuitry, with at least 1–2 years of testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
  • Read and understand schematics and circuits.
  • Troubleshoot down to the component level.
  • Work from a written test procedure, including an ATP.
  • Demonstrate soldering skills.
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Meet one of the stated education and experience pathways: a one-year electronics certification with at least three years of electronics test experience; an Associate of Applied Science degree in electronics or an adjacent field with two years of electronics test experience; a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with one year of electronics test experience; C school or equivalent military technical training specialized in electronics; a union apprenticeship or similar vocational training with two years of electronics test experience; or at least four years of practical electronics work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Test and calibrate high-voltage power supplies to ensure completed units meet customer performance and safety specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage power supplies.
  • Record functional data during various testing phases and analyze results for test validity.
  • Test and troubleshoot high-voltage power supplies and electronic subassemblies to the component level.
  • Communicate directly with Production Management and Manufacturing Engineering to support continual improvement.
