Zscaler provides cloud-based information security services, focusing on internet, web, and cloud security. Its platform acts as a secure gateway that inspects all internet traffic between users and applications, ensuring that threats are identified and stopped before they can access a client's network. This service is particularly aimed at large enterprises and government organizations that are transitioning to cloud and mobile-first strategies. Zscaler operates on a subscription model, allowing clients to select different levels of security and support based on their needs. Unlike many competitors, Zscaler emphasizes a strong partner program that enhances its market reach by providing partners with training and resources. The company's goal is to facilitate secure digital transformation for its clients while generating steady revenue through subscription fees.
