- Completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required.
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program is required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
- One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience is required.
- Position reports to the Manager or designee.
- Provide assistance to surgical team during the intra-operative phase.
- Provide aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment.
- Responsible for operating room preparation, instrument supply and assembly, maintenance of sterile fields, hands off instruments and initiation of counts throughout procedures.
- Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as needed or required.
