Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and communicate room assignment processes for graduate student housing and assist with assignment-related operations.
  • Facilitate room changes and serve on the contract release review committee.
  • Communicate with students and families about housing concerns, including conflict mediation, housing accommodations, and reassignment requests.
  • Coordinate area opening, closing, and summer transitions for assigned facilities.
  • Manage assigned budget accounts and damage billing processes.
  • Coordinate facility-related concerns with Facilities personnel.
  • Participate in meetings and develop integrated experiences and recognition programs that promote student learning and academic achievement.
  • Support student staff leadership development, advise residence-hall student leadership bodies, and facilitate leadership training.
  • Create and implement learning-outcome-focused lesson plans and promote inclusive community development.
  • Supervise, select, develop, and evaluate professional and student staff, including Resident Advisors, Lead Resident Advisors, Operations Managers, Desk Workers, and Graduate Hall Coordinators.
  • Facilitate student-staff meetings and execute recruitment, training, and development programs.
  • Serve on call as a first responder and point of contact for campus emergencies.
  • Coordinate with campus partners on student concerns, incidents, emergency response, and intervention efforts.
  • Track and assess intervention efforts and provide information for incident debrief meetings and the Behavioral Concern Committee.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to support student growth, development, recruitment, and programming.
  • Serve as a hearing officer, conduct meetings, determine responsibility, assign sanctions, and document student conduct incidents using restorative practices.
  • Use Maxient to track student incidents and manage assigned cases.
  • Advise Resident Advisors and student leaders regarding negative student behavior and resolve student concerns.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative assessment to evaluate services and administer department or division assessment initiatives.
  • Maintain office hours for committee and conduct meetings, staff one-on-ones, and student appointments.
  • Prepare incident reports, quarterly reports, community development plans, and other written reports.
  • Provide oversight of desk operations, including payroll approval.
  • Manage student assignment and occupancy changes and coordinate housing operations.
  • Co-manage the Emotional Support Animal documentation process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree with a focus in college student personnel, higher education, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with a residential community staff is preferred.
