Requirements
  • An earned doctoral degree in health education or a closely related area OR a master’s degree in health education or a closely related area with extensive industry experience (at least three years) in health and wellness settings
  • Demonstrated proof of creative and impactful teaching with undergraduate learners, including proficiency in online instructional formats
  • Proven track record in driving innovation, showcasing resourcefulness, and consistently adopting a solutions-oriented approach to overcome challenges effectively
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
  • Teach in-person and online courses in the health and well-being major, with primary instruction including program design, implementation, and evaluation for health educators, individual and community well-being, health coaching, and professional immersion experiences
  • Provide programmatic service that supports student recruitment, retention, and success, including course development and curricular innovation, possible clinical placement and program coordination as well as make contributions to the school, college, university, and profession
Desired Qualifications
  • Evidence of professional certifications related to health and wellness, including Health and Wellness Coaching NBHWC, Certified Health Education Specialist CHES, and/or Health Coaching from a recognized certifying body
  • Experience working with special populations in clinical or medical contexts
