Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety.
  • 3 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.
  • Experience interpreting and applying federal, state and local EHS regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a regional portfolio of EHS programs, aligning strategic plans and budgets with global company goals while monitoring performance for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks, designing and leading mitigation programs to prevent business disruption and ensure compliance at regional data centers.
  • Lead a team of EHS Program Managers, overseeing project execution, supporting incident investigations, and tracking corrective actions through to completion.
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and safety by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and foster EHS compliance.
  • Contribute strategically to global and regional EHS initiatives, helping to set the focus and strategy for your team and the wider organization.
  • Responsible for Data Center operational Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) legal compliance, program implementation, conformance and EHS resource management.
  • Drive continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations in the North Central Area of the United States and beyond.
  • Proactively identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver impactful business, operational, and technical improvements.
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational issues, ensuring alignment of executive stakeholders across various departments.
  • Provide additional support and project management oversight to new and critical EHS initiatives to continue to create and iterate our EHS programs.
  • Manage a team of EHS Program Managers to ensure a consistent and uniform approach to EHS program implementation across the region.

  • Experience with electrical safety.
  • Experience with project planning and risk analysis.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders.
