This is a paid Summer 2025 Internship. This is a temporary, full-time internship. Candidates must be able to commit to a 10 week program in Washington DC.
Compensation: $20 - $24/ hour
Team & Position Details:
You will be responsible for assisting our Senior Financial Analyst with internal operations focused on analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and maintaining records. You will learn how we partner with all departments internal to Virtru to make sure we are operating efficiently. In this role you will work closely with our Accounting, Revenue and Business Operations teams.
As a Finance Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Update and maintain financial model for Virtru
- Report monthly financial results against budgets and forecasts to Finance and Business unit leaders
- Prepare analyses supporting strategic business plans and initiatives by utilizing and building detailed and dynamic financial models
- Develop means to effectively measure, track, and report on KPIs for the business
- Prepare financial components of executive level business reviews
- Manage ad hoc financial analyses based on business demand
- Assist with preparation of annual budget, monthly forecasts, and strategic planning models
- Improve the accuracy of Virtru’s forward looking financial model, focusing on improved predictability of revenues, expenses and cashflows
- Use technologies such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Tableau, Ramp, Google G Suite, Microsoft Excel

As a Virtru Summer Intern:
During the interview process, you will meet with your Manager and discuss role expectations, your interests, and your skills. As a Virtru intern, you will work closely with your team and assist with challenging tasks and responsibilities to help Virtru come closer to achieving our goals. And of course, if you would like to learn more about something, just ask.
In the Internship Cohort, you will be managed by your internship coordinator and HR advocate, Bella. Organized events, such as games nights, career workshops, and speaker series sessions are planned and executed specifically for interns.
As an important team member of Virtru, you will be included in company-wide meetings and events, including one-on-one sessions with your department’s executive leader (giving you a peek as to what it’s like working with us full-time)!. You will gain real-world, hands-on learning and contribute to critical elements of an enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) business. You will be joining a highly collaborative company, with the opportunity to reach out to anyone for questions, with a summer mentor and HR advocate to assist you with internal networking!
Events to note in the ten week summer session:
- First week of Onboarding, just like a full-time employee!
- Weekly sessions with your HR advocate, 1:1 and in a group setting
- Two formal feedback sessions
- 1:1 session with Steering/Executive Leader
- In-office visit mentorship
This internship is for learners ready to work in a connected hybrid environment. While we are not a strict 9-5 work environment, you will be responsible for timely responses in Slack, email, and meeting attendance.
