Requirements
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a platform engineering team within a product-centric company
  • Design and implement foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications, across a range of technologies from API services to event processing
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools to ensure reproducible and scalable environment setups
  • Design and implement infrastructure for applications hosted on Amazon Web Services, supporting event-driven systems, containerized services on Kubernetes, and serverless functions
  • Develop and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD
  • Have experience automating the lifecycle management of code from development through production, including code promotion and configuration management
  • Instrument observability through tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor and optimize application performance across multiple environments
  • Scale infrastructure to meet increasing demand while managing cost effectively
  • Have experience defining, instrumenting and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability with a focus on delivering business value
  • Have passion for delivering turn-key developer experience for local development
  • Keen interest in developing talent through mentorship
  • Strong written and verbal communication, tailored to a variety of audiences
  • A strategic thinker with a product-first approach and customer obsession
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable distributed systems and infrastructure powering Honor’s Care Platform
  • Build and manage infrastructure and core services; own build and deployment pipelines; maintain environments and supporting infrastructure
  • Serve as consultants to build the right abstractions for patterns of problems
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide foundational building blocks for reliability and efficiency
  • Enable turn-key developer experience for local development
  • Mentor and develop talent
  • Communicate with stakeholders; provide technical guidance and strategic input
  • Contribute to evolution of Honor’s Care Platform across multiple environments and maturity levels
Desired Qualifications
  • You have experience working with an RPC architecture
  • You work at or have worked at a technology startup and familiar with the challenges of evolving platform maturity
  • You have firsthand experience navigating multiple distributed architecture patterns
