- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required.
- A certification in quality management, such as CQM-C, ASQ, ICC, or ACI, is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control or field construction inspection is required.
- A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, codes, and quality assurance/quality control practices is required.
- Experience managing or supporting multiple projects simultaneously is required.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques and quality standards such as International Building Code, American Society for Testing and Materials, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, and ISO 9001 is required.
- Proficiency with documentation software such as Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and Microsoft Office is required.
- Use discretion, independent judgment, and professional skills to perform daily duties and resolve project operations issues.
- Ensure projects are completed with quality, on time, and within the allocated budget.
- Develop and maintain the project-specific quality assurance/quality control plan in alignment with contract documents and owner standards.
- Oversee implementation of quality procedures across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and civil trades.
- Perform field inspections to verify installation quality, system conformity, and workmanship standards.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project specifications and coordinate with design teams as needed.
- Coordinate third-party inspections and testing, including concrete, welding, fireproofing, and NETA testing.
- Track and manage non-conformance reports, deficiency logs, and punch lists from rough-in through final turnover.
- Support pre-functional checklists and equipment-readiness inspections for commissioning activities.
- Maintain current documentation of inspections, testing records, redlines, and as-built conditions.
- Lead quality-focused meetings with subcontractors and facilitate quality training for field personnel.
- Ensure all quality assurance/quality control deliverables are included in the final turnover package to the client.
- Support mock-up reviews and first-of-kind inspections to validate installation expectations early in the process.
- Coordinate with commissioning and construction teams to provide quality-control support for the overall schedule and system readiness.
- Experience in mission-critical or mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-intensive environments is preferred.
