Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:Oversee the construction of plant and equipment in accordance with the Heidelberg Materials Project Management Framework & AFE, ensuring the project stays on time, on budget, and meets quality standards.
Planning & Monitoring:Develop and monitor detailed project plans, track progress, and manage all activities to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
Documentation & Compliance:Prepare and review key project documents such as pre-feasibility assessments, contract documentation, and environmental management plans. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
Stakeholder Management:Engage with internal teams (Operations Managers, Commercial Managers, etc.) and external stakeholders (engineers, contractors, regulatory bodies) to ensure project success.
Risk Management:Conduct risk assessments and address safety, quality, and environmental concerns. Investigate incidents and promote best practices & effectively manage all risks associated with projects in line with Heidelberg Materials Risk & Environmental policies and processes.
Training & Development:Utilize available training resources to familiarize yourself with concrete & quarry plant functions and continuously improve project management practices.
Undertake operational improvement programs as specified to improve costs, availability, performance, customer service & operational excellence.
Analyse strategic opportunities for market expansion using capital expenditure evaluation models and report on feasibilities of other capital investments.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction methodologies (civil & mechanical), and OH&S standards.
Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams effectively.
Experience in risk management, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental initiatives.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and basic computer systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with effective negotiation abilities.
Experience & Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory/management role or above, within the construction or quarry/concrete batch plant industry.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Project Management or Engineering position.
Trade qualification or secondary schooling completion required. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Building and Construction, or Project Management is highly desirable.
