Reporting to the CFO, we are looking for an experienced corporate attorney to lead our Legal efforts and strategy. In this role, you will be the go-to legal expert, working cross-functionally to create alignment and deliver results. You will own all aspects of Front’s negotiations with customers and vendors, instituting compliance policies, overseeing legal operations. You will also work on all aspects of intellectual property, privacy, employment, and corporate

What will you be doing?
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal considerations and provide legal advice to cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, negotiating strategic customer contracts in partnership with our sales team
- Provide counsel and advise on legal liabilities associated with many areas of the business (i.e. employment law, commissions agreements, real estate leases, international expansion, system tooling, company policies, corporate finance, partnerships, etc.)
- Oversee the management and maintenance of all company legal templates, including our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, PIIA, Employment Contract, etc.
- Oversee the building of legal operations to effectively serve contract needs, prioritize tasks, and integrate with other company-wide systems
- Evaluate risk factors impacting business decisions and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations impacting the business and communicate to appropriate parties any changes to controls, policies and procedures
- Address other ad-hoc or specialized legal issues
What skills & experience do you need?
- Practicing attorney with 10+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department. In-house counsel experience required, preferably in tech
- A JD from a top accredited law school, and a membership in good standing with the California Bar
- Broad experience with a variety of legal matters, including strategic business agreements, commercial contract negotiation, information security and compliance, privacy, corporate governance, intellectual property rights, international expansion
- Comfort with business metrics and ability to break down complex legal problems into business and legal risks; ability to explain legal issues to business and technology focused partners
- A collaborative approach with low ego in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong sense of ownership, a desire to make a cross-functional impact, and eagerness to learn
This is a Hybrid role based in San Francisco
The US base hiring range for this full-time position is $255,000 - $345,000 USD. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions. At Front, we take a market based approach to pay. In addition to cash compensation (which includes base salary and, where applicable, may include commissions or overtime pay), Fronteers are eligible to receive equity in the company. This
