Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or better preferred.
  • 1+ years of customer service, sales and/or purchasing experience in a Manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience in Industrial Distribution or similar industry is preferred (Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fluid Power, Electrical, Power Transmission, Motors, and Motion Control)
  • Proficient with software programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and vendor pricing programs
  • Ability to learn and work within a CRM system is required, working experience with Trend (CRM) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Process requests for price, delivery, returns, order status, order expedites, product literature and technical product assistance.
  • Create quotes and sales orders.
  • Customer follow up to provide delivery dates and order status.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and sales teams.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively anticipate customer's needs.
  • Field incoming emails and phone calls.
  • Assist and support Outside Sales teams.
  • Upload data on customer internet portals.
